We got a special delivery from the North Pole this morning! Our elf, Bonbon Friandise, has invited us to participate in the Défi de Noël. We will be sent a new challenge to complete every day. We must work together to receive our badges and work our way to the North Pole!

This morning, the students watched this short French video about Arthur getting a new baby sister. After the video, we brainstormed all of Arthur's new responsibilities now that he is a new big brother.

This morning, the Grade 2 students worked on reading simple French sentences. We read the sentence and correctly matched the family member.

Grade 1 students watched a short video about Franklin becoming a big brother. We created a short list of new responsibilities that Franklin will have now that he is a big brother. He will have to play with the baby, show her how to walk, he will have to read stories to her and help feed her! |

Our reward was to watch a show - we put French subtitles on our show and paused it when we recognized words on the screen (eg. maman, c'est, un)

This morning, the Grade 2 students shared about their family in community circle. Afterwards, we learnt our family members in French
This morning the Grade 1 students learnt that we all have different roles. We are students at school and we are a brother or sister at home. Mme. Robichaud also has different roles. She is a teacher at school and is a sister at home. We also reviewed how to be a responsible citizen and sorted red and green choices!

Every morning we sing the days of the week & months of the year song. This helps us with our morning calendar routine!

We are now participating in a daily calendar. During calendar time, we are learning the days of the week in French, counting to 20 in French and singing our ABC's.
